Fun in the Park

Pender Betterment Group Activities for Alumni Weekend wrapped up Sunday July 1st with the annual Fun In The Park festivities, which began almost immedeately after the conclusion of the parade.  Games set up by the Betterment Group were for kids of all ages.  These included an inflatable slide, bounce house, and obstacle course.  A dunking booth was also on site, along with bingo and a tricycle racing course.  

Wrist bands were sold for $10 per person and allowed unlimited use of the inflatable games from start to end.  Individual game tickets were also on sale for those not needing unlimited turns.  As always, all of the activities planned for Sunday were largely successful with many people participating.

Many community groups and businesses again took part in the fun this year by offering food and treats to those in attendance.   

 

Thank you to all the vendors who attended, selling a variety of food from snow cones to BBQ.  Special thanks to CharterWest National Bank for handing out Watermelon, GoodRich Ice Cream/Subway for handing out Ice Cream, and Pender State Bank for the kids train rides.
